Are you a collector? If so, I’d love to hear all about it!
Back in 2014 I wrote what’s still one of my favorite articles for Art of Manliness, “How to Start a Collection.” I don’t collect as many tchotchkes as I used to, especially having recently moved, but I do enjoy collecting lapel pins from places we visit as well as some miscellaneous presidential memorabilia (statues, little antiques, etc.). Books would be obvious for me, and I certainly collect them in some sense, but I don’t have a particular direction or obsession that realm. Yet.
Your turn — what do you collect?!
Likewise, I have a lot of books, but I'm not sure I would call myself a collector. But, while I am not a fan of Christmas, my wife and I have one tradition I love: collecting an ornament for the tree from the places we travel to. At a point that feels not so far down the road, our travel ornaments will outnumber all the "regular" ornaments.
