Discussion: What was the best book you read in March?
Plus the Anderberg family's favorites
Hey there, readers!
Once again, it’s time to chat about our favorite reads of the previous month. Here’s what our family most enjoyed in March:
JEREMY: I loved Herman Wouk’s The Caine Mutiny, which won a Pulitzer for fiction in the early 1950s — so much so that I went immediately into his Henry family saga, which spans about 2,000 pages across two books. My other favorite read of the month also happened to be Jane’s favorite . . .
JANE: After reading plenty of mediocre fiction in March (including Onyx Storm!), Jane really enjoyed David Epstein’s Range. It was easy to read and provided a useful framework for thinking about work, parenting, and life in general.
GRAHAM (9.5 years old): I got the oldest kiddo into his own WWII phase and we both really enjoyed Tales of World War II. Each two-page spread featured an interesting story from the war, many of which I looked up afterwards in search of more info.
WILLA (7 years old): This girl is an animal lover and arctic foxes are her current obsession. Patricia Janes’ Arctic Foxes has been a hit since she got it for her birthday at the end of last month.
BO (4 years old): The little one, like his siblings before him, is getting into Pokemon. This Pokemon Essential Handbook has been through the ringer, but he likes looking through it, torn pages and all.
Your turn! What was your favorite March read?

A hands down A GENTLEMAN IN MOSCOW BY AMOR TOWLS. I know I know I am 9 years late to this party but it was my second attempt to read this book and i almost gave up before i hit the second half of the book. Now it is one of my favorite books EVER!!!!
'The Good Earth' by Pearl S. Buck- won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1932. I enjoyed Buck's depiction of family life in rural China (early 20th century). This book is the first in her 'House of Earth' trilogy.
