I'm gonna spice up these comments and disagree with your tennis take! Keys went on a hell of a run at the AO, but to assert that American men aren't putting on a show right now too is short-sighted. Ben Shelton is a thrill to watch, he's only 22, and I think he's got a great shot at winning a major title someday. Taylor Fritz literally made the final at the most recent Major, and Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe have been making consistent deep runs at all kinds of tournaments. And did you see Alex Michelsen and Learner Tien break out?? There's tons going on for American tennis on all sides. Gauff and Keys have managed to win a major title, which is great too, but there's more to a 'show' than major finals alone.

I'm just a [man] standing in front of [another man], asking him to [see these big blockbuster movies in a theater].

Congrats on 7 years!

I pre-ordered Siren's Call because I was a fan of Hayes' A Colony in a Nation. I'll let you know how it is.

Thanks Vinny! I'd love to hear what ya think of Hayes' new book.

If you are looking for a companion read to the Lee biography, Ty Seidule’s memoir, Robert E. Lee and Me, describes growing up with the myth of Lee and the Lost Cause.
