Hi Jeremy the A.I. saturation seems everywhere at the moment, even in my day job of healthcare! While there are probably useful benefits I can’t help feel we are in the early part of a revolution, not unlike the industrial one but likely significant worse as by the time enough of the right people could shift it to being mostly useful. We might not have to power to.
You are exactly right about the publishing world and their publicity/marketing machines ( especially the big 5). I just want to add a quick sidenote to your comment. Don't pay attention to Bookstsgram or Tiktok when it comes to book recommendations please. The publishers send out their advance reader copies to their favorite social media influencers who in turn promote the advance reader copies and most of the time tell you they are oh so great and are a real must read. That's kind of sketchy in my opinion because the influencers get these books in exchange for an " honest review" and a lot of times an honest review is a positive review because influencers don't want to ruffle any feathers of say the author or the publisher because the influencers want to keep a good relationship with everybody because in the end the influencers get more free books the more positive reviews they put out. And I'm just stating facts, I know because I used to be one of those influencers. Just please go to your local bookstore, read book reviews on websites like lithub.com or the millions.com and make up your own mind as to what you wish to read.

Tis my worry as well. It will certainly be an interesting few years to observe where AI takes us.
