Found a great used copy of Endurance today at my favorite local used book shop! Looking forward to rejoining the group in November (W&P2021 alum 😄).
I listened to this previously, but it’s been five years ago, looking forward to re-reading. I’ve enjoyed reading several other books on this and related topics recently, so it will be fun to join the group for discussions.
I Was wowed by the recent video footage of them discovering the Endurance.
Awesome, glad to hear it Chris! Yeah the recent discovery of the ship makes it even more compelling. The preservation at the hands of the icy waters is just incredible.
Operation Kronstadt By Harry Ferguson is another 5-star read about WWI. It is about the fledgling MI6 and their rescue operation of an English spy from Russia. It reads more like a spy novel than a history book but is chock full of information about the times.

I found our texts about endurance and I’ll be sending them to you. ;)
Lol I'm fully aware I was wrong the first time! I'm not in denial about it. :)
Alright alright. I’ll delete these screenshots. I’m glad you came around.
Must check out Endurance!
It's mind blowing.
