I’m Jeremy, and I like to read. Once upon a time, someone told me I should start a newsletter that simply shared what I was reading that week and why I found it interesting. I did just that, and the thing caught on.

I send “What to Read Next” every week to nearly 15,000 readers. I read anything and everything: fiction and non-fiction, new and old, over-saturated and virtually ignored.

I also run a large group book club called The Big Read. We’re spending all of 2026 with Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables.

I live in Duluth, Minnesota with my wife and three young kids. When I’m not reading, I enjoy outdoor pursuits, roasting and enjoying coffee, and hanging out with my family.
