I’m in a bit of a “series” phase with my reading. Over the weekend I finished A Game of Thrones, book one in George Martin’s epic and unfinished Song of Fire and Ice series. I also read Fonda Lee’s Jade Shards, which is a collection of four short backstories set in her Green Bone Saga universe. Up next for me: Louise Penny’s Glass Houses, which is book thirteen in her Gamache series.
I love being wrapped up in a good series — their epic scope and depth of character exploration makes it feel like returning to old friends. Few things are more enjoyable than getting totally lost in fiction that goes beyond a single book.
Your turn: What are your favorite series? New, old, completed, unfinished, and everything in between — let us know!
Nothing is better than the Anne of Green Gables books.
I'm a huge fan of Louise Penny's Ganache series. Have read them all and always waiting for the next one!
