Fun "fact": despite not being any kind of a sports fan (I'd rather play than watch), I almost became a fan of the Baltimore Ravens when I heard they were named after Poe's poem because he is a Baltimore native. Almost.
"The Lottery" and it's imagery have stuck with me since I first read it in college. Phenomenal bit of writing. For Stephen King, I haven't liked many of his books but his short stories can pack a punch. "The Lawnmower Man" is super creepy.
