For a quick Dickens fix try a read (re-read?) of A Christmas Carol to get a real snapshot of Victorian London. Just re-read for my bookclub. Awesome (not a Dickens geek - never managed to finish another tale of his 🤦♀️)
Great Expectations was my first Dickens novel, I read it when I was in my early teens and even though it isn’t my favorite I later found David Copperfield (one of my favorites) because of it! I am hoping to join the big read so I can reread it now that I’m older!

Christmas Carol is one of my absolute favorites! I read it more years than not. :)
