CS Lewis insisted a child’s story must also be a good read for an adult and he delivers with the Narnia series. What surprised me this read was how much Chronicles and Once Upon a Wardrobe made for good Christmas reading. Callahan’s writing is like Hallmark movies…i can abide it every so often. Narnia lives!
The audiobook series of the Chronicles of Narnia read by Patrick Stewart, Kenneth Branagh, Alex Jennings, Michael York, Lynn Redgrave, Derek Jacobi, and Jeremy Northam is excellent!
