At first I was like holy crap does Jeremy have back door access to new trailers before anyone else? I would not put it past you. Then I realized it’s a damn impressive fan made trailer so I was like holy crap the things people can make on a computer are incredible (but I’m also hoping Nolan’s movie looks way different).

Oh yikes, I didn’t know that! How irresponsible of me! 🤦‍♂️

You’ll have a legit trailer to post soon! Just saw it ahead of Avatar so I imagine it will be online in the next few days.

Haven’t quite got to the Aeneid yet but it my list. I had bonuses they do graphic novels of the classics! It had been far too many years since I read a graphic novel. Think my last was Alan Moore’s Watchmen, which came out in 1986!

The Odyssey is my favorite book of all time. In face I have a huge poster of it as art from Litographs .

Not sure if you can handle poetry? There WAS a prose version of both the Iliad and The Odyssey published by Barnes and Noble when I first read it in College in the late 80s

Thanks, Jeremy. My mind jumped to Nolan's film that's coming next year. And 'The Return' with Ralph Fiennes is meant to be very good. Interesting that some of these stories are attracting renewed interest from directors and actors. The graphic version of 'The Odyssey' looks great. Of the three you list here, what one do you think you'll reread first?

I just read these books in the last year, too—I’m reading through Ted Gioia’s year long list—and it’s been amazing. Happy I’ve finally read them, kicking myself for being so late. The end is in sight, and I’m already looking forward to reading more old books. First up might be Iliad, Odyssey, Aeneid as a trilogy. Ted’s list included all of the Odyssey and a portion of the Aeneid, so I’ll break a little new ground.
