Happy Friday, readers! Colorado continues to shock us with unseasonably cool, wet, and gloomy weather. We’ll take it, to be sure, but it’s leading to a bit more inside time than we’re used to this time of year. And you know what more inside time means:

Ah yes, NBF! He was a crazy person — definitely worth reading about. It'll make you shudder that *anything* was named after him, let alone a variety of state parks, roads, monuments, and memorials.
I'm so glad to hear that Fever is as good as you said it is. I've seen it all over and I've listened to a podcast episode about it so far. I'm going to have to get on the holds list through Libby. Thanks for the recommendation.
Indiana, the Midwest?? Anything past Chicago's basically the East Coast as far as I'm concerned ;)
That said, there is an interesting history there with the KKK in Indiana. Valparaiso University was almost sold to the Klan during its bankruptcy after WWI, but thankfully the Lutherans got it instead.
