Jeremy! I love the idea of starting with art each week. How lovely! I'm excited to see what you choose each time.

Our daughter was involved with Best Buddies (BB) in high school, and my husband and I often wear BB string backpacks with the Haring logo on the back when we’re out and about. We get so many compliments on them!

I enjoyed Alice Adams, now I want to read the Magnificent Ambersons...the film is rather tedious.

Love me some Haring. I remember seeing his graffiti on streets and subway platforms way back when...that's how old I am!

I just finished Alice Adams last night! I *think* I liked Ambersons better, but I'm not positive. Gotta let it sit a few days.

Ooooh thanks for the recs, Jeremy! The novel I’m currently working on is about kindness, so I’m going to pick up a copy of Supercommunicators today, both as research and just for my own education. Hope you have a great week!

To me, Keith Haring is synonymous with the gay rights movement and AIDS activism (a fact that bears mentioning, and not just because it's Pride season) but it's interesting to see other contexts for his work! He was so prolific that it seems impossible that he died at just 31.

I didn't know much about Keith despite recognizing his work once I connected the dots. It was fun to read up on him a bit after discovering that logo.
